Beauty Tip: Brush Cleaning!

New makeup brush owners? Deep cleaning and disinfecting your brushes are very important. It helps to prevent breakouts and communicable infections. Learning a new 'at home remedy' on how to clean your brushes: A light antibacterial dish washing soap (dawn) and a bit of olive oil, or baby shampoo/wash (Johnson's). Both are affordable and very gentle on the skin/hair which means gentle on your brushes.
When washing your brushes, wash the hairs separate from the handle and absolutely DO NOT get water into the metal part of the brush, it will loosen the glue and ruin your brush. Dry your brushes with the brissles facing downward, so the water drips out through the hairs. Proper cleaning/drying/maintaining will help the life of your brushes last longer.
Recommended cleaning time:
Your personal brushes: After every third use or weekly.
Client: After every use, or during an event. Use a disinfectant spray/cleanse spray between clients.

*Rememer as a makeup artist, your brushes are like your babies, they are your tools/essentials. They need proper care.

Sephora Haul 😍

Some of the products I purchased at Sephora the other day. The 'Naked 3' palette by Urban Decay, the 'Electric' palette also by Urban Decay, the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in 'N127', the Make Up For Ever '5 Camouflage Palette Cream' in N 01, and last but not least the incredible 'Beauty Blender' I have already tried it because I couldn't help myself but to experiment early :)
The 'Electric' palette by Urban Decay has definitely become my absolutely favourite bright colour shadows. They are so smooth and very pigmented and very easy to blend.
Using the 'Electric' palette, I used 'Thrash' in the inner corner of my eye and came in about a quarter of my eye, than I blended in 'Freak' in the middle, than 'Fringe' for the rest of the eye and winged it out a little bit, I than applied 'Revolt' all over the eyelid to make the look more pigmented. Using the Naked 2 palette, I took the 'Blackout' and smoked it out on the edge, and used 'Tease' from the same palette in the crease to blend it all together. For the brow bone I used 'Foxy' also from the Naked 2 palette.
Winged out eye liner: Make Up For Ever 'Cake Eyeliner' and Naked Cosmetics 'Debonaire' as double wing.
Snapped shot from my Iphone. Sorry the lighting/camera is crappy :(
